Little Free Library
Anti-racism is on the rise.
So is Reading in Color.
Following the lynching of George Floyd, communities across the globe launched into a summer of protest. And with that came a dramatic increase in people seeking anti-racist education.
What started as a passion project gave way to a partnership with Little Free Library to create the Read in Color initiative. Its goal is to distribute books that champion BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ voices for readers of all ages to communities in the Twin Cities, the country, and the world.
Update: The Read in Color program is now officially active in every major city in the US.
We invited Little Free Library stewards, patrons, and neighbors to sign the Read in Color pledge. Those who take the pledge will have access to resources including bookmarks, stickers, social media badges, and a Read in Color window cling or sign that stewards can display on their Little Free Library doors.
